Lights on war graves 2023 in Overloon

Winter, a time of enjoyment, of warmth, a time to share stories and memories and a time to be with family and friends.
In this dark season, all those who gave their lives for our freedom also deserve to be remembered. So do the fallen soldiers who were given their final resting place during World War II, so far from home.

To give these special men the memory they deserve, the Overloon War Chronicles Foundation, together with the grave adopters and veterans of the Land of Cuijk, will light a candle at all graves on Christmas Eve for the 7th consecutive year. In addition, all photos of the soldiers known so far will be on display at the graves.

The Overloon War Chronicles Foundation hereby invites you to share this special moment with us and with each other, to reflect together on the ultimate sacrifice the soldiers made for our freedom. On 24 December, we welcome you from 15:30 at the cemetery at Vierlingsbeekseweg 57 in Overloon, where we will light the candles just before nightfall.
