Once again this year, candles will be placed on the 281 graves at the CWGC cemetery on Vierlingsbeekseweg in Overloon.

This initiative was started in 2017 and this year, for the first time, portrait photos of the soldiers concerned will also be placed, all photos we have been able to trace so far.

In connection with the Corona measures, all will be carried out without ceremony. However, the cemetery will be open to visitors to witness this beautiful spectacle.

The placing of the candles and photographs will begin on Friday afternoon, 24 December 2021, and will remain in place until Christmas Day evening.
