Lights on War graves Overloon 2024 once again well attended

Under great attendance, we celebrated Lights on War Graves in our municipality Land van Cuijk. In the villages of Grave, Sint Anthonis and Westerbeek, candles were first placed in the presence of Mayor Marieke Moorman and the Last Post was played. At half past three, the cemetery in Overloon filled up with 250 visitors; adopters, veterans, residents of Overloon and its surroundings and other interested visitors.

Fanfare Vriendenkring and the bagpipers played beautiful music, the Last Post and the national anthem. Afterwards, candles were placed at the graves and people gathered and commemorated while enjoying a mug of hot chocolate. The evening descended over the cemetery and the lights on each grave glowed.

With a warm feeling of gratitude, freedom and friendship, we concluded this beautiful Christmas Eve with a beautifully lit cemetery. Many thanks to all visitors and to everyone who contributed to this beautiful evening.
