Lots of attention for the cemetery on 4 and 5 May
On both the National Remembrance Day and Liberation Day, there was a lot of interest in the soldiers at Overloon War Cemetery! Throughout the day, many adopters and other interested parties stopped by to look at the portrait photos and pay attention to the 281 fallen servicemen. There were lovely conversations and new encounters. The many flowers, flags and notes in the beautifully tended cemetery provided a dignified resting place.
Many thanks to the visitors and adopters for your attention to our soldiers. Together with you, we continue to remember them. This is what gives us satisfaction as the Overloon War Chronicles Foundation. A special thanks goes to Scouting Overloon who took care of the flagpoles and flags.
Especially at this time, it is important to make the consequences of war visible and to keep the memory of these often young men alive.
