Photo’s at the graves in Overloon

This Saturday 14 October 2023 marks exactly 79 years since the liberation of Overloon. We commemorate the servicemen who died for our freedom and are buried at the war cemetery on Vierlingsbeekseweg in Overloon.

Overloon War Chronicles will place photos at the graves this Saturday to give the men a ‘face’. We again expect many visitors from Overloon and the surrounding area, as well as adopters and other interested people who want to visit the cemetery and lay flowers at the graves. You are most welcome.

Meanwhile, we have already found 156 of the 281 photos and, with the help of our researchers and adopters, we continue to search for relatives who can provide us with a photo and background stories of the other servicemen.
