For clarification, these are supplemented by extracts from the war diaries of the 10th Survey Regiment. Also on display are copies of pre-war postcards of the locations Johnson drew. The collection includes drawings of various villages in the region, including Asten, Boxmeer, Gennep, Haps, Horst, Ledeacker, Meerlo, Oirlo, Oostrum, Overloon, Rijkevoort and Venray.<\/p>\n<p>The drawings provide a unique and personal view of the region during the liberation in World War II. Thanks to his grandson Tim Corby, who came into contact with our foundation, these works can now be admired in the Netherlands for the first time.<br \/>Volunteers from Overloon War Chronicles will be present to answer questions and give additional explanations about the works on display.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition will take place on Sunday 4 May &amp; Monday 5 May at Community House De Pit, 14 Oktoberplein 2, 5825 CC Overloon. Opening hours are from 10am to 4pm.
