Those who would not show up had to pay the other person&#8217;s travel expenses.<br \/>On exactly 1 November 1954, at 1 p.m., they both kept their appointments.<\/p>\n<p>It would be wonderful to find out who these heroes were. Their journey to this historic East Brabant battlefield was the result of a bet made after the Battle of Overloon (October 17, 1944).<br \/>Amidst heavy fighting, an officer was wounded and was rescued from the front line by a Scottish soldier.
